About Me
Hello Everyone! My name is Diya and I am a senior at Dublin High who has forever been passionate about a medical career. Like many of you guys, I joined the biomedical academy in an effort to explore. The academy has given me a community to look into different careers and get hands on experience.

Even when I was in middle school, I would take time out of my day to volunteer at various different organizations. However, when the pandemic hit, many opportunities closed and it was hard to not spend time doing things which were part of routine for me. After countless hours researching, I was able to find Zooniverse, a platform where researchers post their projects and online volunteers help them in collecting data points and coming to a conclusion. This was the perfect puzzle piece between community service and my career interests and I decided to give it a try.
Working as a volunteer for zooniverse has by far been one of the best decisions I have made. This time I spent finding this amazing opportunity is one I want to share with you all. I know many of you are also interested in research and looking for hands on opportunities, or maybe you're just curious about what I did and that's completely fine! I have all the different projects I volunteered for throughout high school. I would highly encourage taking part on your own. Good luck and I hope you learned something new!
